R&B Divas?

R&B Divas?
I have had it,
Latavia ole frosted flake face ass then went down to the TV One to make a bigger fool out of her life. Firstly trying to reestablish a career that was in the shadows after all the shade Lead female vocalist of Destiny Childs Beyonce threw on her throughout the duration of their union-ship. Quiet as it is kept she was an only child, that shit does not say "Destiny's Children". Poor Latavia dipped and dodged every time a mic came within 100 feet of her. The laryngitis-gate had to be the most infamous of her unfortunate troubles. She claimed that she had laryngitis at Angie's 65th birthday extravaganza. Ole Messy lip Angie called Lying Latavia to the stage to shake a tell-feather. However Tacky Tavia swore for God that she couldn't talk... as she talked. In the words of Syleena Johnson "C'mon Laryngitis". Bye Bye Latavia, Go home Roger!

When you think of a R&B Diva, who comes to mind?
I have images of Nippy Houston and Toni Braxton sanging down as Mariah Carey whistles in the backgrounds. I don't believe any of them every passed up an opportunity to try to reinvent themselves and capitalize off of a steady coin. I think very highly of the R&B Divas who shimmied and struggled their way through the corrupt music industry. Of course getting fucked in a fucked system is inevitable but the key is how you recover from the fall. A diva would never lie there and be stepped on until nothing of her is left. R&B Diva Brandy once sang "Don't tell me I can't build Rome in a day just 'cause they couldn't do it" Reaffirming that it will never be successful to succumb to the critics of the world.

Rest in peace Nip!

Nicki & Romney !

Rapper Nicki Minaj & Politician Mitt Romney

Rapper turned Pop star , Nicki Minaj has received massive amount of backlash after her 16 bars on mentor's Lil Wayne's Dedication 4 mix tape , where the young artist raps
I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney , You lazy bitches is fucking up the economy"
Since the release of the song , her "demon-cratic fans" have been sending her death threats , losing faith in her as an artist and as a human being all together. Is this a metaphor gone totally wrong or is Americas favorite barbie starting to look out for no other than herself?
This is my opinion & I am dwelling in it until the world blows up:
"POTUS"
I never really knew it was anything wrong with saying you were voting for someone else. I thought that was a given based upon our freedom of speech amendment. I believe people are afraid that if Nicki Minaj , with her superstar status, votes or says she is voting for Mitt , then so will her millions of dedicated fans. Persuasion is key in politics. I was not present in the studio when Nicki laid this bar down so I have no clue of what she could have meant. I don't even think shes knows , honestly. I do know someone who was there & played a huge role on what was circulated to the world; Lil Wayne. What I am questioning is , is Lil Wayne in agreement with Nicki? This is why I do not believe Nicki Minaj is republican , other than the fact that you have to be registered to be apart of a political party anyways. I see it as a way to stir up controversy in the wake of the election on November 6. The way she went about it is which is most unpleasing. Hopefully , Nicki Minaj has not abandoned the fact that she was once in the shoes of many democrats. I pray she has not lost herself being someone else.
The main reason people were angry was because of the person she chose to advertise. Look at how the republicans feel when they hear songs that reference President Obama. In the society in which I live it seems imperative to re-elect Mr.Obama. What if someone does not want to ? Are they thrashed & given up on just like Nicki was? Everyone can not do what you want them to do. I deeply support who is most beneficial to my future , but others don't have legitimate reasoning , they go off of what they hear. I have not heard any allegations of Mr.Romney that people accuse him of while I know what my President is capable of. Do not take something you hear and run with it , because you will trip & then everyone will give up on you.

That's what you call LOVE?

 Character Analysis

Now that the first season of LLHATL has wrapped up I can finally share my thoughts of how I feel about each character personally! I'll start in the order as they appear in the photo to the left.

Rasheeda- In the beginning I thought of Rasheeda as a person who would give a positive image to the show. I believed her to be the mediator of them all. Her marriage plot gave me no life & She knew damn well it was too late for her to make a comeback when she never came. Needless to say my feelings of her has altered. I appreciate a woman with an opinion. I believe in an industry such as entertainment you are walking on eggshells when you say how you feel because people are so sensitive. However , it was far from her place to judge whether domestic violence occurred in Kimberly Michelle's retrospective because she was not there. I view it as a reason for her to be calledback for season 2. Who do you know has been in the industry for 10 years as an underground artist ? Now that's not dedication , its dumb! Hopefully she use her platform to actually produce music that compliments her talent and not hinder the nothing of a superstar is she already is!

K.Michelle- Prior , to Love and Hip Hop:ATL I knew of K.Michelle , I knew her story and I followed her career , when all of a sudden she dissappeared and the songs ceased. Then she popped back into our lives on this show to clarify what happened to her. Instantly from her first episode I connected with her. It was somewhat because she reminded me of two of my favorite artists: Keyshia Cole & Mary J Blige. K is very honest and real ,& I believe her story now there's always three sides again. I am not saying shes 100% factual based on what happened to her , but I do believe something happened & changed this woman's life. For her to speak publicly about it , which is hard & embarrassing because of the reception you will get in return. She did it openly , and still just wanted to serve one purpose. She wanted to sing. She may not be the most sane person in the room but shit neither am I , but you can never deny her talent.  Her past will not stop her purpose!

Karlie Redd- When the creators of this show screened her shouldn't she have provided a birth certificate and background check? If you need to be observant of anyone it is Karlie. All of her stories has leaks & messy is an understatement. I will not indulge in talking about her because I would be displaying a message that she is important in life.

Joseline aka Hoseline- All jokes aside , I love Joseline Hernadez. She is the epitome of " get it how you live it " I have empathy for Joseline only because she seems helpless to me. It is clear on the show that Steebie brought her from nothing to something , & he is her bridge to her dreams. I have not heard her sing nor have I seen the floating footage of her performances. However , I believe whatever it is that she is doing it is better than the grimy business of stripping. As far as Steebie's infidelity with her , against Mimi , is just that. That is Stevie J's infidelity not Joseline's. She is not a home wrecker because you cant ruin a home that is already wrecked. Her preparation met an opportunity and sex just had happened to be a product. I did not approve of her having an abortion , for I am against them absolutely. Other than that I love her grind. Overall , she just wants the fame & fortune but I hope she's ready for the other shit that comes with it!

Erica- My opinion of Erica is not that in depth. She is easy on the eyes , & very likable. I never believed in a million years she would be permenatly separated from the dawg known as Scrappy ( Even though she left him for dead) . You could see in this season they genuinely loved each other which is beautiful. Most of all the women this season had issues with their mother's and Erica was no exception. I liked the fact that she mended her relationship with her mother  on television , it showed positivity and forgiveness and growth. In that order!

Mimi- Last but certainly not least is MiMi Faust. In the beginning I will not lie , I felt like most people in America , I referred to someone of my young , dumb, and full of cum friends as Mimi's ! I just believed she stood in passive aggression. We learned that her and Stevie were affiliated for 15 years on & off! My question to her was why did she always get on that roller-coaster when it always made her throw-up? Love is pain, but as long as you bear his child you can hit him where it hurts. I understand she wants her daughter to experience a family , but why would you want Stevie J to be what your daughter look for in a man? Children emulate parents! There is no way around that concept. But 15 years later is too little too late. Mimi has fed his cheating spirit , she was enabled him to believe regardless , there's a spot back home if you need it! The last episode where she said " I'm done" was when I could say , I finally like Mimi! Even though she always talked like she was about to cry & she has too much self-control , she is a strong black woman & that is respectable.

Now I know it may make these woman no different on how I feel about them. I'm just a young man trying to be where they are. I like to speak for the people & maybe I don't correlate with how some of you feel. Comment & we can agree to disagree below!

iSupport the Reality TV realm

                                                        REALity Television is power!

Fan Favorites
From the genesis with shows such as American Idol and Survivor, reality television was never taken as serious as actual scripted shows were. People thought of reality TV as a joke. They believed it served no other purpose but to entertain. Over the years the world has been flooded by a storm of what people like to call their reality. Reality TV is not intended for people to believe it is scripted for it is supposed to be authentic. Events that transpire in reality seems so real , it seems to be fake. Excluding reality game shows , Reality television has been receiving negative perception because of the indecent exposure and negative impact it has on society. Taking color /race out of the picture , all Reality TV to me serves the same purpose. I believe the things individuals do on TV are the same things people do in the comfort of their own homes. The only difference is their is a constant camera crew & a steady paycheck. People are so quick to judge reality TV stars for they " have no real talent" . I must admit back then it took a lot to receive celebrity status , now a days all you have to do is have a messy life. In real life , who's life is not messy. Why knock peoples hustle just because you don't approve ?Reality TV is the new epidemic and the world is still adapting. They put out the message that it has a negative impact on the children? Well if you are depending on reality TV,or any other show for that matter , to raise your kids than you are a negative impact. We indeed live in a world where negative outweighs positive. No one ever looks at the abundant platform these people receive. What they do with their platform is totally up to them. I can only speak for myself , personally I have connected with multiple reality shows because their struggle was similar to mines or their desire corresponded. You can speculate about someone but once they share their story and inform you of them , you have a whole new perspective about them , good , bad , or indifferent.   iSupport Reality TV , because it is honest. They talk about things that the world is too politically correct to discuss. Reality TV is something that everyone in the world wishes they were brave enough to do. It is not easy , not that I know. Yes! , from time to time people slip up and makes asses out of themselves but most of the times they are in compromising positions and we only get the reaction , not what provoked it. I am not excusing any foolish behavior but how do you grow if you do not learn? So Remember next time you try to judge a reality television show , think of what people would think if yours was one ? For none of us are perfect & reality is inevitable!

Celebrity Impersonations 101

 TheDarmirraShow

While scrolling down different impersonation videos including the one I uploaded of myself ( see older post) I came across the multi-talented Darmirra Brunson , lead actress in her web-show phenomenon Celebrity Face off! This is new to the internet and it brings light to the lives of our favorite celebrities. Darmirra uses her gift to impersonate celebs like Beyonce , Nicki Minaj , Lil Kim & the late Whitney Houston. Her vocal ability gives her the extra advantage when she sings their songs. This is indeed a one-woman show , for she portrays all the characters. I think it is amazing to see someone like her putting their talent to use. Entertainment is beauty and you get in where you fit in. Support her , by watching her videos!
Enjoy (:

OMG Girls ! Suprise Morgan State University with appearance at Youth conference

Interscope/ Grand Hustle artists The OMG Girls made an appearance to a teen town hall meeting. They were joined with affilIated acts TKNCA$H , & ScreamTour Coordinator Micheal Maudlin. They sat in the company of a live audience on a panel that included but is not limited to Morgan State University's SGA President Shaquayah McKenzie and other Baltimorians. The teenage girls who are currently on tour with Mindless Behavior and Diggy Simmons , spoke of what is was like to be a leader. They were asked a series of questions by the audience where they proved to be overall regular teens. The one who stood out to me the most was Ms.Babydoll , with multicolored hair and a name like that who will take her serious? She went on to give the audience of mixed classifications, advice about going for your dreams and keeping God first " Work hard , Pray hard " to be exact! So what are these girls up to , you might ask ?
